About the TAF Academy Initiative

TAF Academy is a 6th-12th grade school model with a mission to prepare every student for college and for life through a rigorous and relevant Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) focused curriculum. The goal is to enlist students as active participants in their education and cultivates a keen awareness of their important role within the world.

One amazing vision and three years later, the first TAF Academy will open in Federal Way in September 2008. Visit the TAF Academy @ Federal Way website to learn more about this innovative public school.

Our Investment

The Technology Access Foundation is making a significant investment by creating and funding the TAF Academy academic model. Our funding supports technology, professional development, student services and support, and some core school staffing.

One of the most critical investments is in ensuring teachers have the best professional development and support so they can provide the best education for each TAF Academy student.

Coupled with supporting teachers is giving students the opportunity to excel academically with support and enrichment opportunities.
