TechStart Classroom Assistant
A classroom assistant supports students by engaging them in the curriculum and working with students one-on-one to facilitate their understanding of classroom exercises. Volunteers also support the Lead Instructor by answering questions, keeping students on task and determining which students need extra help in the areas of math and reading. This position is ideal for volunteers who enjoy working with younger children, are passionate about technology, and are looking to be part of a dynamic and diverse learning community.
Days: Most classes are Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs
Locations: Seattle, Highline, and Federal Way
Front Desk/Reception
We need a volunteer with an outgoing compassionate personality and enjoys being around children. As a reception volunteer, you’d be our front door gatekeeper and greeter helping children sign and find their classrooms.
Days: Mon/Wed shift or Tues/Thurs shifts available.
Locations: Columbia City and Genesee Learning Space
Translators
We need volunteers that can translate materials into various languages. Highest need: Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Amharic. These opportunities would be on an as needed basis. We encourage your inquiries.
